Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Summer Shades

Marc Jacobs glosses are definitely my happy place! The new summer shades haven’t quite made it on-line yet (hello… don’t you know we’re having an amazing summer for a change – we need colour right now!) but if you have a sunny day gloss craving, I really do rate these. And, compared to some prices I’ve been seeing lately for lip products, £22 doesn’t even seem too off the scale. The formula has a minty kick (annoying if like me you don’t really like minty lips) and they’re half way between an old fashioned gloopy gloss and the new breed of featherweight, can’t feel it on your lips textures.

From top to bottom: Rio, Cherry Moon and Raspberry Beret (these shades have launched in the US).

Again, top to bottom: Rah Rah, Call Me and Want Me? I’ve got to say that Call Me is one of the most unappealing lip colours I’ve come across in a very long time as far as swatching is concerned. BUT, miraculously, it’s more of a vibrant almost orange shade on the lip that looks absolutely lovely, especially if your tone has warmed for summer or you have an olive to dark skin tone naturally.

So, swatches as follows from bottom to top: Want Me?, Raspberry Beret, Rah Rah, Rio, Cherry Moon and Call Me. I love that Rio, Want Me and Rah Rah have a milky finish with a 60s vibe minus the extreme pastel flatness.
