[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I love the way that MAC has gone all in on pop art for this collection. In some cultures, goldfish are auspicious, connected to wealth and prosperity because of their colour, which I guess is why they feature quite strongly on the packaging and as relief work on the limited edition Extra Dimension Skin Finish.
There’s so much vibrancy around this collection – I really enjoyed photographing it.
This shade in the Versicolour Varnish Cream Lip Stain is Like Candy, a cool but very bright pink – and very stainy so when the gloss is gone you will still have colour on your lips. The other shade is No Interruptions in a deep burgundy shade. They’re £20 each.
The other two products I have here are the Sea of Plenty Eyeshadow Palette and Good Health, Great Wealth Powder Blush.
The blush is an easy win I think – it’s coral/peach and red/orange – which looks more bronzer like to me but it’s something to bring warmth to the cheeks especially when the spring sunshine emerges. It’s £28. Much as I’m not all that interested in palettes at the moment, this one, with its small coloured dots seems more digestible somehow. I like the neutral tones uplifted by the shimmery blue and bright pink. It’s also £28.
This is Sea of Plenty swatched up – all these shaded are easy wears, I think, although the blue frost (also called Sea of Plenty) didn’t swatch that well in that it needed more effort to apply than the other colours.
This is the blush and lip varnish which feels far too bright for me but I can imagine it on giving so much impact if you’re a bit braver in the colour department than I am! Anyway, everything is HERE, non-affiliate HERE.
