[sample/affiliate] With matte lipsticks firmly on their way out (yay) these creamy, lip softening colours are very welcome, particularly in peak dry lip season.

It’s not just the packaging that’s pleasingly shiny – the finish is lightful without veering into gloss territory – maybe what you’d describe as ‘satin plus’, Love Me lipsticks are for you. If you’re still in Camp Matte, steer clear.

The texture isn’t a weightless one – it’s reassuringly ‘coating’ so it won’t be gone within half an hour. There’s a sense of grip to it that reminds you not to lick it off. They have the ubiquitous vanilla scent that disappears quite quickly (thankfully) and if you’re in a kissy mood, there is a little transfer so you might want to air mwah instead.

The shades I have here are (from bottom to top): La Femme, Laissez-Faire, Vanity Bonfire, As If I care and E For Effortless. Vanity Bonfire looks best on me, but I also like Laissez-Faire, which once on the lip looks deeper than it does on my arm. There are 24 shades at £17.50 each HERE, non affiliate HERE.

These look lovely and sound like just what my also v dry lips need for a bit of cheering up plus a colour matched case makes for easy makeups especially in the mornings. I haven’t bought anything from MAC for ages so will go and swatch at House of Fraser. Have a great day Jane xx
I love this formula too, and the price range is so good! I am really happy we are getting more lipsticks that have this texture and finish and feel good for your lips.
