MAC Look In A Box

Honestly, mini-sizing is the best thing that MAC could have done to re-energize themselves. If you look past the initial prettiness, this is a brand that for a long time had no competition at all, and suddenly, they found themselves lagging behind. It’s becoming more and more apparent that they’ve listened and responded to their consumers by changing up their offerings, giving more entry level products and being a bit more inventive generally. While I think that £35 for these mini lipstick collections is a bit toppy (they’d fly at £25) who doesn’t love mini lippies? They’re carefully curated and immaculate colour edits.

Kicking off with Blazing Haute – it’s a warm shade collection with colours ranging from bright tomato red through to the creamiest neutral of Warm Welcome.

It’s worth mentioning that aside from these mini-lipstick selections, there are also four full looks in a box which all include eye shadows, lipstick, blush, liner and mascara.

They’re making that little plastic travel bag that you’re allowed as carry-on look much more interesting! I think I could cram in the lot (who needs deodorant?!).

Just Chillin is the cool shade box – again a really decent edit.

There’s a gorgeous pale lavender in this box that I can’t think I’ve seen anywhere else called Cool Companion.

The launch date is 7th July so mark your calendars if you want to get hold of a set – I think they’re going to be very popular.
