They’re back! I’ll confess that I didn’t know they’d gone anywhere, but since I use my Mischief Minx one very regularly, it’s great to see them again! This time, I’ve got Qween Supreme and Risk Taker to swatch up and show you. I think these are some of MAC’s best offerings of recent times – well edited colour selections that are useful and exciting as well as being flexible for low key or super smoky looks. For my tone and preference, Qween Supreme takes it, being a selection of brown/grey shimmery shades that have incredible pigment levels and gorgeous blendability. You need just a tiny smidge of colour and it’s easy to be a bit too enthusiastic and ending up with too much – so from that I’d say they’re going to last you!
I can wear browns really well but I also love dark, dark greys so I’m rather spoiled for choice. I’m also going to flag up the packaging – although it’s a (sturdy) cardboard, all the attention to detail is there to bring them to life, while other brands literally just go with black card.
I got a burst of sunshine while I was snapping away so this is a very light hit view of Qween.
This is Risk Taker with that dash of pink! The surrounding shades are veering to buff and browns, so it is really wearable with potential to go wow with fuchsia. You can also see that it’s not all about the shimmer.. there’s a good selection of mattes and shimmer within this palette.
Shades: Posh As You Want, Call Me Qweenie, Fire Starter, Tit For Tat, About To Reign, Long Live Lustre, Magic Dust, Royal Caper, Insta Qween.
Totally Obsessed, Totally Fierce, Fashion Fanatic, Outfitted, Dangerously Elegant, Free Ride, Bossing It, Risky Business, Let It Rock.
Based on how often I use my Mischief Minx palette, I’d say these are a really good buy even at £32 (HERE). I don’t know how long they’re back for (I doubt permanently) so if you find the right colourway, expect to use over and over.
