MAC Charlotte Olympia
MAC Charlotte Olympia

I know that the MAC Charlotte Olympia collection has been the most hotly anticipated of the year so far so I’m happy to have a few of the samples to show you. I think most impressive are the Cream Colour Bases – shown here is Golden Age and Sepia (£17.50) because they’re similar in texture to the MAC Paint Pots that I already use. On a personal level, the shades are spot on but I’m leaning more towards Golden Age to actually wear myself.

The lipsticks are the standouts, however, with a red theme on all three. The shade you see here is Retro Rouge in a matte texture – it has an oxblood depth of red to it. The other shades are Leading Lady Red (deep matte red) and Starlett Scarlet (a true red matte). If you know Charlotte Olympia shoes, you might know them for several themes – a) price (SOOOO expensive – see HERE), b) gold and black, c) a spider web motif and d) towering heights. So the MAC range does seem in keeping with the general vibe of Charlotte Olympia. I don’t have the nail polish here but there’s definitely a stilletto shoe heel reference in the bottle design.
