Lunasol Control Base Primer

Another find from my lovely Japanese friend who brought the Lunasol Control Base Primer for me to try. Beyond a doubt, it’s the best primer I’ve ever used and I actually wore it to the 30Plus Awards on Thursday night. The version I have is 01 (Glow), and I really do think it did give my skin a glow that was exceptional.

On the skin, it feels light and smooth – not at all heavy – which is exactly what you need if you’re putting a base over the top. The point of the Lunasol Control Base Primer is to even out skin tone and make your skin look more glowy as well as boost the performance of foundation. All boxes ticked on these and I will absolutely buy more when I run out.

Of course, being a Japanese product, it’s not the easiest to track down – I have found it on Amazon for approx. £34 which is at the top end when you consider that it’s only 30ml. But, it’s top of the primer game and I don’t even really like primers! I’ll be saving it for when I want my skin to look extra good and not using every day.

    Great post!

  2. You can buy Lunasol and all the major Japanese cosmetics brands from ichibankao.com. I have this base and the Lunasol modeling foundation, both of which are outstanding products.

      Glad you agree!

  3. You can buy Lunasol products and other Japanese brands on ichibankao.com. Lunasol has excellent foundations, powder, and blush.

  4. I’ve tried quite a few primers, but they just don’t work for me. My foundation ends up sliding all over the place. I find I actually look better without it.
