Louise Young Brushes & Blushes
Louise Young Brushes & Blushes

With such a big upsurge in interest for good quality synthetic makeup brushes, I thought I’d flag up the Louise Young offerings here. The post was originally about the blushes because as you know, I love a creme blush!

Louise has a mix of synthetic and natural brushes – they’re all highly rated by other makeup artists and I’ve heard that independently so it’s always worth taking note of pro-recommendations.

I used the Small Powder Buffing Brush to apply the creme blush – you don’t ever have to stick to the rules with brushes; just do what suits you best. It did a beautiful blending job. The one I’d really recommend though is the Mascara Fan Brush. £11 (HERE) – until you’ve really winkled mascara into the very roots of the lashes (MUA trick for every single mascara shoot – brush my a**!) you don’t realise what a difference it makes.

The formula of the creme blushes is beautiful – good for those who don’t really like a particularly dewy look because they go on quite matte but don’t seep into creases. They’re nicely priced as well at £14 HERE.
