L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion

When I said that I was sending Mr BBB on a shopping spree for beauty when he was in the US last week, someone messaged me on Instagram and said I would LOVE the L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion. They were absolutely right. L’Oreal does brilliant foundations, no matter what price range you go for, and I genuinely think you can scratch expensive bases off your shopping list because I find the lower end just as good as the higher end with this brand. I have a lot of foundations, but among the Chanels and Laura Merciers sits a bottle of L’Oreal Lumi Magique which I think can take on any luxury foundation.

I think that in the L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion is Lumi Magique – the formulas are so similar – it doesn’t say so on the packaging but I’m guessing it’s more or less the same thing. Smooth on application, blendable, light to middle weight coverage and leaves a gentle skin sheen. The last time I checked with L’Oreal, the cushions are destined for the UK around April time but I will update when I can. In the meantime, if you’re USA bound, it’s one for the shopping list.

Hi! I agree! I am in the states for a trip and I have stocked up. This foundation is really nice. I have a hard time finding a foundation but I really fell in love with this one. The only problem is the shade range. Now I am tanned but normally I am very pale. I am unsure that the palest shade is pale enough. I like the included sponge (for once, usually I don’t) so I can do touch-ups during the day.

  2. My SIL and I both brought this back from the US in January and loved it. My SIL did say that she found hers dried out very quickly although I haven’t found that to be the case – perfects her using it frequently and continually letting ‘air’ in it made a difference – who knows!

  3. I really hope this will reach us soon. I am really keen to give it a try. Lumi Magique is not that suitable for me as I have combination skin but I have heard quite a few reviews about this Lumi cushion foundation that it does stay on well on combination skin if properly set.

I can’t wait for this to reach us in the UK. Love their foundations and always excited to try new ones.

  6. The european cushions are still miles behind the korean ones! That sponge is so rough, I wouldn’t do my dishes with it, Why use it for precious foundation? When tapping the sponge with the cushion, you’re supposed to get a fine mist of foundation – that sponge gives big blobs and the result is uneven.
Check the Laneige and Missha ranges for affordable cushions, they have lots of different shades for international shoppers. Sulwhasoo, Sum37 and AmorePacific make lovely luxury ones, mainly pale shades though.

Cushion foundations do sound interesting and sound like they are not heavy on the skin at all! Will have to look into this one 🙂
