[unpaid/purchase] I got 100% influenced into this purchase! I read about it in the Saturday Times and being a fan of L’Oreal bases, wanted it straight away. The idea of a ‘water’ cream is straight from Asian beauty brands who love the whole watery, dewy concept. It’s not that the formula is watery in texture, by the way, but it is a 70% water based mix with aloe, ginger and witch hazel.

L’Oreal Paris Skin Paradise Tinted Water Cream

I bought mine in my local Superdrug and have to admit that it was quite hard to determine which would be the right shade for me – they had five tones (there are actually 10 but my branch only had the five) and eventually I opted for Medium 01 which actually is fine for my tone as it is now (which is helped with warmth by Tan Luxe drops) but usually I think I would be Light 2. It’s SPF20 and as lightweight as they come. Picking your colour is made easier (and I’d have used it before I went shopping if I’d known) with the L’Oreal Paris Tap & Try facility HERE on their website – upload your picture and see how the shades look on your skin and then head to Superdrug HERE who have all the shades.

L’Oreal Paris Skin Paradise Tinted Water Cream

Skin Paradise is really perfect for now – that light coverage we’re all looking for that gives a hint of luminosity and skin perfecting that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It’s an every-age product – good, in fact, for older skin, especially if you don’t want heaviness but just feel better with a little ‘something’ that gives both SPF and moisture. On me, it doesn’t give a ‘glass skin’ sheen but does look towards dewy. You could up the ‘dew’ by using a glow primer underneath. Don’t expect a hydration drench – it’s not wet-feeling or exceptionally moisturising, but if your skin is ‘normal’ as opposed to oily or very dry, I can’t fault it for summer day cover. Better yet, it’s £10.99.
