L’Oreal Paris Mary Poppins Lipsticks

L’Oreal Paris Mary Poppins Lipsticks

I have to admit that I’m very, very happy with my L’Oreal Paris Mary Poppins lipsticks, bought from Amazon.it. I have no idea why L’Oreal never does these special releases here because I am sure they’d do so well. And Mary Poppins is written by a British writer, P.L. Travers (and illustrated by Mary Shepard, also British) so it couldn’t have been more right for us over here in the UK.

I didn’t choose the two I bought for the actual lipstick colours, although as luck would have it, one of the shades would really suit my mum so it’s going in her Christmas stocking. The orange/red shade is 346, Scarlet Silhouette and it’s a matte finish.

This second shade is a blue-ish toned pink and is 265, Rose Perle in a satin finish. The casings are original L’Oreal Paris lipsticks with fabric/paper wraps to denote Mary Poppins. I think they’re nicely done but there may be some quality differences. Anyway, I really couldn’t resist them although I did resist the full set of seven although it is very beautiful. It’s HERE, and you can find a couple of the individual lipsticks HERE. I paid EU12.79 each for mine and about £4 postage – they arrived just over a week after I ordered. Swatches below:

These are so pretty. I had to resist ordering the Beauty and the Beast lipsticks last year from Italy and it was so hard! L’Oreal is really missing a trick not selling them here!

  2. Hi, Jane.
Fingers crossed L’Oreal start doing these beautiful Limited Edition Collections for us in the UK sometime soon. Definitely a good idea to order them on Amazon in the meantime though.

I honestly think Mary Poppins is quite the epitome of all things British so why ever L’Oreal don’t make these for us Brits is a total mystery to me!? Copyright issues, maybe…. Who knows!

Perhaps part of the promotion for the new Mary Poppins film with Emily Blunt?
