Past La Palettes from L’Oreal Paris have been super safe – nude rose, nude beige etc – so this one, L’Oreal Paris La Palette Glam, is really quite adventurous. I’m guessing this is aimed at festivals and the whole summer colour mood where more is more when it comes to playing with brights. There are ten tropical shades with a mix of mattes and sheens.
I used the included sponge applicator to swatch and thought this swatched up really well bearing in mind that it’s only one swipe of colour. The textures are super soft and the brush at the other end of the sponge is actually pretty good – you could easily use it on the go in place of a regular brush and not be disappointed with the result. I’d advise using a primer underneath – I found that the green shade faded a little and with bold colours like that one, you need it to stay true over a period of time otherwise all the impact is lost.
There are lots of colours that I’d use in this palette – I might not go full on bright lid but I’d easily do some powder lining under lower lashes (which suddenly I’m back into after not having done it for years), especially with the greens and blues.
L’Oreal Paris La Palette Glam has already launched and it’s £9.99 HERE.
