Lanolips Rose Gold 101 Ointment

[productsample/affiliate] Billed as a lip and cheek tint, I like this departure from their standard lip balms and ointments – I’m a huge fan of the Lanolips balms and have been from the word go. Their Perfect Nude balm – I can’t even say how many tubes I’ve been through over the years. It’s a bit confusing though that it’s a 101 balm rather than a lip balm because the only place you would use it is on your face, rendering the rest of the purpose of 101 (cuticles, elbows, dry feet etc) pointless. I’m not so keen on it as a cheek tint – there’s a bit of shimmer to it that seems more at home on lips and 101 is quite a thick ointment. On my cheeks it just didn’t look right because it’s not quite a skin gloss, nor is it a full colour. Lips though – yes! It’s lovely. I should just say that perhaps it’s more of a summer thing – Lanolips balms are harder when it’s cold and softer when it’s warm so it might work better when the formula is looser.

Lanolips Rose Gold 101 Ointment

To my eye, it veers to more red than pink and gives a beautiful light tint on the lips – good for people who are red-scared and can just take a tiny amount before they feel out of their colour comfort zone. There is shimmer but it’s not excessive and of course you get all the balmy benefits of Lanolips. It’s a good handbag product to carry about or just to brighten an otherwise make up free complexion.
