[productsample/affiliate] While everyone else is going back to glow, Lancome’s newest base is matte. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude is the lightest possible touch of make up. It truly feels like wearing nothing and I’d say it’s more of a skin perfector than a base per se. Personally, I think its for those who have perfect skin already and just want a veil of something to stop from feeling naked because on my skin it’s almost undetectable. It’s very useful for shine control – it will take care of that – so if you have lovely skin naturally and your problem is oil, then it’s for you. If you’re looking for lightweight coverage there is so little cover than you probably should look elsewhere.

The shades I have are 008 (palest) and 011. Both feel cool to the skin when first applied – lovely, actually – so perhaps this is a good one for summer months. It’s not enough coverage for me but I can see that in summer time when my tone is warmer and I look more ‘healthy’ naturally, it might be okay. I feel Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude is for a very specific category – I’ll be interested to see other reviews. It’s £33.50 (there’s a code: BAFTA, that gets you 15% off) HERE Non Affiliate HERE.

This actually looks perfect for me! It’s so hard to find light coverage that isn’t super glowy. I’ll definitely pop along to my favourite Lancome lady for a sample. SPF 19 feels like quite a random amount of SPF though, I wonder why 19?
I imagine because of the sheerness of it, they can’t put in any more. I agree though, 19 is random!
You think they would’ve rounded it down to 15!
I love the original Teint Idole, does this have the same coverage of a tinted moisturiser then? (Without the glowy effect I assume).
My skin is far from perfect, but lately it feels healthy and don’t feel like covering it too much
I’d say that it’s tinted moisturiser but maybe even a bit less – it’s very fine coverage. I think if your skin feels healthy and supple, that will reflect in its outward appearance so don’t cover it! It’s not glowy but it’s not like a chalky matte either. See if you can pick up a sample in store and try it that way.
