Kiko Milano Party All Night Collection

[productsample] Kiko’s recent offerings have been more than impressive – I wondered what might take the textured lipstick trend to the next level and now I know. The Magical Holiday Wow lipstick is a stunner.

The sugar-dipped effect has embossed star bursts around it. There are two shades – a red colour called Hot Red and the one I have here is called Hypnotic Bordeaux. They’re £11.99 each.

Next up is the Metallic Eyeshadow Trio in Dream Bright (£16.99) which reminds me a lot of Pat McGrath colours. It’s stunning – I’ve followed the application instructions to the letter and it creates a gorgeous metallic eye look although my own preference is to wear the Medium shade over my entire lid and then smoke out the corners with Dark. Medium is just the most beautiful, gleaming shade that can easily be worn alone but does need a bit of kohl and mascara with it to help it to shine. There’s an alternative colour way called Magical Touch with greys and pinks but this is definitely the show stopper.

The Jelly Highlighters are the one thing I didn’t feel enthusiastic about – they’re very wet and need some careful application. Anything with a high water base does tend to take the moisture out of your skin because it evaporates. The shimmer effect is okay but they’re not the strongest part of this collection. They’re not yet on the Kiko website so I can’t tell you the price. There are two colour ways – Crystal Prosecco and Bubblegum Sparkle.

I’m a huge fan of the swipe and go Eyeshadow sticks – there are two new shades for the Christmas collection, 03 (mauvish brown) and 01 (light gold) and they’re gorgeous. I’ll wear 03 a lot I think. These are £6.99 each but not yet uploaded to the Kiko site.

Finally, from the bits and pieces I have here, the Metallic Lip Paints (eek, sorry, not yet up on the site). The red shade, 03, in particular is absolutely stunning if you like a dramatic metallic lip. The pigment is HUGE in these so definitely not for the lipstick shy! The formula is full coverage, quick dry but does (as would any metallic) show every little crease on your lips so if you’re blessed with smooth lips, they’re perfect. The last is amazing (as long as you’re not dipping into oily foods).

In the swatch above, the Jelly Highlights in Crystal Prosecco and Bubblegum Sparkle, the shadow crayons in 03 and 01 and the Metallic Lip Paints in 01 and 03.

There are some great picks from the collection – the eyeshadow palettes for one because the pay-off is incredible as is the lustre; they’re well priced and I’d recommend in a heartbeat as I would the Wow lipsticks.  Kiko is HERE.

Love love this collection and Kiko in general! Thanks Jane, some of these may well have to find their way into my ever expanding makeup collection. Their long lasting eyeliner pencils (with soft not rubbery plastic smudgers) are my all time favourite. Have a great week Jane xx
