Inglot Rainbow Eyeshadow

Inglot Rainbow Eyeshadow

I posted on Instagram (find me HERE) a couple of days ago about the new H&M freestanding beauty store that has recently opened in Covent Garden. It’s right next to the new H&M flagship store – but entirely separate from it. Which does, of course, pave the way for more freestanding H&M beauty stores. I also discovered that Inglot has opened a store on Oxford Street. It’s had one in Westfield for a while, but they’re certainly laying down their intentions by opening on London’s busiest street almost opposite Selfridges.

Inglot Rainbow Eyeshadow

I picked up this little Rainbow Eyeshadow for £6.50 (I bought the pan but not a casing for it) in colour 132 because it was too pretty to leave in the shop! Inglot is a strange brand – it’s clean looking and quite pared back visually, but not particularly expensive and the quality is decent. However, it’s just not very exciting! They’re keen to get you into the ‘Freedom System’ where you buy a casing for each product (in my case it would have been an extra £5.50 for a dot of black plastic and prices go up to £18) and they have lots of accessories and make up boxes.

The Polish founder of Inglot, Wojciech Inglot, died about 3 years ago, unexpectedly, which is really a shame because his brand seems to be blossoming. It’s a bit of a mystery how that happens actually – they do very little outreach and the Oxford Street shop wasn’t busy at all. I just think in this noisy beauty environment, they’re going to have to shout a little louder. The UK website is HERE if you can resist a Rainbow Eye Shadow – they have lots of colourways!

  1. Only just discovered they had a shop on Oxford street! Saves me going to Westfield every time though!

We had a Inglot stand alone store in Belfast in 2102, real excitement over it and loads shopping there. But, every time I went in, the staff just seemed to want to talk to each other. It closed within 6 months which was a pity.

They reopened a large stand this year in Castlecourt facing Debenhams and are really going brilliantly. Even taking customers from MAC. Oh and the staff are really interested in helping customers.

  3. It looks so pigmented, it is worth the try… keep slaying :p xx

I remember when Inglot opened some few stores in Vienna some years ago. They came out of nowhere, only Bloggers knew and posted about it, nowhere else, and whoooosh! they were gone again silently. They had smole stores in shopping centres, not on the Austian equivalent of high streets.

I still own a very decent dip in eyeliner that I won from the opening. Very good quality and long lasting – both on the eye and shelf life.

Have you noticed their solid perfume that you could put into your freedom box as well? So odd, yet peculiarly pleasing.

I’m so suprised Inglot hasn’t taken off in the UK. In Ireland its huge! They do roadshows and have “VIP” “instaceleb” artists that have palettes their fans buy. Have a look at the Inglot Ireland Facebook to see what I mean. I don’t particularly like the Instagram contoured makeup that seems to be popular with Inglot artists but I really rate their products and the brand is a lot more accessible than MAC in Ireland with Inglot stores in most major towns/shopping centres whereas MAC only be bought in 3 cities.
