Ilia Beauty At Sephora.co.uk

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Yes, here we are now with our own dedicated Sephora website. Goodbye Feel Unique – thanks for all the good times, etc, but I have to admit the Sephora.co.uk site is looking pretty sharp. I’m going to the launch on Thursday evening so next week I can take a look at the new brands if I haven’t been crushed by the incoming advent calendars by then. However, as a gentle introduction and nudge to browse the site (it’s overwhelming, I’ll warn you) I’m starting with Ilia Beauty and their handy Multi-Stick which is the sort of beauty product that is a ‘can’t go wrong’ make up bag item.

Ilia Beauty

I have the shade In The City which gives a beam of light to cheeks although I’m more likely to wear this shade in the summer. There are eleven other shades ranging from mauve led pinks through to red-shot coral with a strong neutral palette in between. A quick stick like this is the work horse of a cosmetic bag – use it on lips, cheeks or even eyes (In The City is strong for this third option) and acts as a veil of colour that brings the complexion to life. There are options from other brands (a less pricy option is the marvellous e.l.f. multi-stick) and at £33 sits in the ‘treat’ camp but Ilia’s Multi-stick is a no-regrets item that will prove its worth over and over. It contains avocado, orange peel and shea butter so it’s kind to skin. You can find it HERE. I’d also highly recommend the Multi-Stick palette that combines six creamy shades you can apply with fingers or a brush. It’s £40 HERE.

Ilia Beauty

Ilia has a broad spectrum of products – the only thing so far that’s not for me is the mascara because the brush feels unwieldy and I’d prefer a much skinner option, but well worth checking out too are the Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tints – in the swatch, I’m showing shade Dim (I’m saying nothing), which looks strong but if you just blend out a bit with your finger or a brush, leaves the most delightful wash of pink twinkles across the lid. It’s made to wear sheer – a less is more approach, which is where this brand comes into its own. It’s like Gen Z make up for grown ups in the quality we want and dewy textures we need. There are six shade options and the tints are £27 each HERE.

Morning Jane. I look forward to hearing all about the launch party 🙂 and will have to wait until payday to look at sephora.co.uk
Are the other eyeshadows called Power Cut, Cool, Wrap Up Warm, Extra Socks and Snuggly Blanket by any chance… 😉

Not forgetting the beautiful Hot Water Bottle :-))

Based on your photo I believe the mascara is Ilia’s volumizing formula? They also sell a “limitless lash” formula (in the U.S. at least) with a skinny brush that you might like. One of its challenges–for clumsy me at least–is that this wand is made of a rather unforgiving hard plastic, and if I accidentally let the wand slip, it can really sting my eyeball! Besides that rather significant caveat, this mascara provides great separation and a subtle effect. I have not yet tried the volumizing formula.

I’ll look out for the thinner brush Arpita, thank you x

I’ve just been trying the Ilia Limitless Lash (got it at Sephora, heh) and am finding exactly the same – it has a great lengthening effect but the brush IS unforgiving! I’ve been comparing it to my trusty Benefit Roller Lash and *think* I’ll stick with Roller Lash as the lengthening is just as good and I prefer the brush. On a shallow note, I do much prefer the packaging of the Ilia – very chic and understated.

I love Benefit mascara – it’s my daughter’s favourite as well – Bad Gal Bang is our preference.

I really want to try the Ilia eye tints. They have some nice looking matte ones too. I’m trying not to buy too many liquid eyeshadows at the mo, as I have a few on the go, including a couple those Lisa Eldridge ones. I don’t have any matte ones though lol. Ilia has a nice looking cool toned eyeshadow palette too. I used to shop at Sephora when it was at Brent Cross, years ago. Have fun at the launch!

Thanks Emma. have a look at a brand called GenSee as well for matte liquids x

        Thanks, Jane. Will do. x

Ilia is an excellent brand. I’ve used them in the past, when I lived in the US. The Multi-Stick is my favorite product. So you are finally getting a Sephora.

A good moisturizer to order from Sephora is Dr. Jart Ceramidin cream, which is housed in a tube (hygienic and travel friendly).

    1. Jane Cunningham

Ah yes, I like Dr Jart – thank you for the recommendation.

I love the Multi-Stick in At Last – the perfect sheer raspberry (I wear ‘Haze’ in Glossier Cloud Paint and it’s quite similar, in case that helps anyone). My skin is warm-toned and it’s the perfect pop of very natural colour. I also love the shade ‘Cosmic Dancer’ as my highlight – a fairly light, warm-toned Champagne colour. Completely agree with your comment Jane that it’s ‘like Gen Z make up for grown ups in the quality we want and dewy textures we need’. I have dry skin and prefer very sheer, natural and dewy finishes vs heavy textures, which tend to go cakey or highlight dry areas. Quite interested in the Super Serum Skin Tint but would like to get a shade match in person before buying, so might be waiting for the Westfield store to open!

Actually, everyone is loving this range so I’m going to get hold of more samples so I can hopefully give more of an idea to people who want to try it. Multi Stick is just a joy.
