I Heart Make Up Coloured Oval Brushes

Strangely, I’ve started to notice a bit of a backlash against coloured make up brushes. Not serious enough for the job at hand, apparently. I love having colour around me – it’s just energising and positive in the right places – so these just make me smile.

I Heart Make Up Coloured Oval Brushes

I almost exclusively use oval brushes for foundation and creme blush now – they make application such a doddle and I have a selection of all prices and quality. Bottom line is that there isn’t much difference in how they perform but the cheaper ones may not last you as long. I don’t know if I was just having a particularly vigorous application day but one of my lower priced ones snapped at the narrow point towards the head. But that’s after daily use for a considerable time. These are actually quite expensive I think at £20 for the three – a face brush (powder or foundation), a shaper (contouring) and an eye brush (have never got the hang of these) but if a bright and shiny, colourful brush is what makes you smile at the start of your day, it’s probably money well spent. They’re HERE.
