[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] For no good reason, I didn’t feel particularly curious about this palette from HUDA beauty so I’ve let it sit unopened by my desk for a while. But, now that I’ve dived in, I really like it – a lot.

Mainly, I love the textures and mix up of the shades – they’re almost tie-die in some pans and that bottom corner with a jelly bath of pigment beads … I’ve really never seen anything like it before that I can think of. So, shades are from top left going row by row. Filthy, Passion, Shameless, Please Me, Hypnotic, Hard, Untamed, Irresistible, Flower Power, Rough, Spicy, Arouse, Slippery, Tantric, Naughty, Provocative, Desire and Juicy (I think they’ve been to Anne Summers for inspo).

The reality of Slippery is that it doesn’t particularly translate to anything spectacular – a kind of transparent metallic merge with the texture of an eye gloss. That didn’t stop me more or less sitting on my hands not to spoon it out and crush the beads with my bare hands. I’m honestly not even sure that I won’t! There’s a great deal of depth to this palette – the tie-die shades do in fact give a dual hue colour which I love – a bit of pink edged purple. If you blend them too much you’ll lose it so the key to this is a one stop swipe I think and live with the results. The metallics are metallic and the shimmers are shimmery – it’s delivering on all fronts.

I love the pink tones that sit so well amongst the more earthy shades. So, going along – the second is Passion which is a tie-dye shade so you can see what I mean although it’s a little blurred (sorry). The first is Filthy, then skipping over to Shameless, Please Me, Hypnotic, Hard, Untamed, Irresistible, Flower Power, and Rough.

Then, it’s Spicy, Arouse, Slippery (see what I mean?), Tantric, Naughty, Provocative, Desire and Juicy. It’s £58 which is steep and it launches on 2nd November. If you’d be happy with the original Nude palette (of which this is a spicier version) Harvey Nichols has it for £44.80 instead of £56 HERE, non affiliate HERE.

Wow, some shades!.. If there ever be a trio Passion-Provocative-Desire – I’ll break into sprint to the nearest counter (or, to tell more prosaic truth, jump my laptop to get on their site and press “buy” button). As for the rest… being an 18-yrs girl for over 30 years (ehm…) I do have nudes I need already (some not once – palettes intermingle… do I use the right word?)… But as a first palette for someone or pleasant extra (or a gift) – lovely. My fav from Huda still remains their Mercury though (say me who’s go-to daily eye make up is mascara + brow pommade) 🙂
I hear you – I wear very little make up at all at the moment but it doesn’t stop me being pulled in by some extra special shades 🙂
Huda do do eyeshadows very well – looks like this continues it. I’m
Impressed with how many decent products she’s launching just now
Great palette! That Slippery one is such a weird one.
