[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Having more or less discounted wearing any high-beam palettes in the foreseeable future one comes along that’s so jewel-like and tempting that I found myself thinking perhaps I’d been too hasty. Huda Beauty Light Glow Obsessions definitely brought out my beauty magpie – not so much for cheeks or for highlighting but for mixing with clear gloss and dabbing on lids.

I think putting Huda’s face on the front of the palette is genius – if only for more traction on social media. Instagram LOVES faces and doesn’t like things that are just straight product (because they think that should be paid for) so putting a face on a product might well confuse the algorithm. I hope it does because that algorithm is the bane of my life!

The palette is split into four shades for varying kinds of glow – and glow it will – but what’s marking it out as better than others I’ve seen recently is the colour formula. It’s a soft, cushiony mix using a baking technology and packing in 40%+ pearl pigment that blends beautifully and creamily wherever you want to put it.

You could quite easily do a little moisturiser mix with it by blending in the palm of your hand.

I feel like it’s quite good value for £27 HERE, non-affiliate HERE, if major illumination is on the cards for you!
