Hourglass Arch Brow Micro Sculpting Pencil

[productsamples/affiliate] So, these new brow pencils from Hourglass must be some of the finest I’ve ever seen.

As you can see, they’re super, super fine, making feathery strokes very easy. The formula is a kind of wax/powder hybrid that lays down a decent amount of colour.

I can see their place for those who like to immaculately groom their brows or who have tricky spaces to fill but they’re £26 each (a sister product is £31) and I’m not honestly seeing that reflected in the quality over and above other products. I love that there is a brush at the end of the pencil – for days when you don’t have time to do anything other than a quick brush but just need to do a bit of SOS taming.

There are 9 shades to choose from – I could barely tell the difference between dark and warm brunette – it certainly didn’t show in the swatch so I haven’t used the picture (but you can see me using it alongside the Pat McGrath foundation for a quick make up look on IGTV HERE). I don’t know – is it me? I really don’t do a lot to my brows so perhaps I’m not the best person to judge but these seem really expensive to me. You can find them HERE, non affiliate HERE.

No, re brows, you’re not alone. I don’t do a huge amount to mine and I certainly wouldn’t spend over £30 on one of these when I can get such a similar (and fab!) thing from ELF for £6. I don’t mind spends bit more on a fabulous lipstick or single eyeshadow where you can really see/feel the difference in quality!

I totally agree. The only brow product I like in that price range is Anastasia Beverly Hills, and that’s because it stays put, no matter how sweaty I get.
