What can I tell you! The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette is one of SpaceNK’s most requested products – this palette came out (and sold out) last year but it doesn’t stop hundreds of people asking them for it or when they’ll have more. So, the answer to the final point is now (HERE) and I can promise you it’s very limited stock.

I’ve looked at lots of reviews on this one, and the vast majority are positive with one or two thinking it’s an over-hype. But, I think you need to a) be a powder user, b) love a subtle skin finish and c) enjoy paying attention to complexion detail. There’s no doubt, now I have it sitting in front of me, that it’s a thing of very great beauty. The top row contains Dim Light, Iridescent Light and Diffused Light, and you’d use them to create a softened, more luminous look to your complexion. Iridescent Light is a delight for paler tones looking for highlighting that doesn’t set them highbeam, but stays subtle and pretty. The bottom row contains the Ambient Lighting Blushes – Mood Exposure with a plum infused brown, Luminous Finish in a pink and gold coral mix and Luminous Bronze Light, a shimmering low toned bronze.

Although I’ve swatched these at intensity, you have to remember it’s all about a diffused, skin softened look so you wouldn’t wear them like this. On my brush, the formula is soft and silky feeling – it doesn’t dollop on or look dry when it’s actually on. I’m not naturally a powder-wearer myself, and I would say that none of the shades performed as well on bare skin as they did on skin with foundation – so really it’s very much all in the perfected make up finish. The two shades with the most sparkle and shimmer are Iridescent Light and Luminous Bronze Light.
Anyway, if you’ve always wanted to get your hands on this sell-out, you can. It’s an eye-watering £65 but these are chunky little pillows of products and I imagine it’s pretty much near a life time’s supply of glow. If you’re unsure, check other blog reviews – the good and the bad – by Googling Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit.

It is a gorgeous palette and I bought it last year and have used it a lot, but I have to disagree about the size of the products – I was shocked when after a couple of months use I saw “pan” on the Diffused Light. The powders sit (have been baked on to?) a cardboard base that is level with the rest of the packaging, so that little mound is literally all you get. I don’t regret buying it, but I wouldn’t repurchase and I wish they’d do one of their three-pan palettes with the top row of this one.
I absolutely love Hourglass products but sometimes the price turns me off. It’s so pricey! I want to pick up this palette but I want to make sure it’s worth the price tag…

I have one of these that I don’t really use. Love the bronzer and blusher, but don’t really like the powders. It’s unboxed and has had barely any use – if anyone would like to make me an offer, please email me cageykc@gmail.com. Thanks!
I love the look of this product so much I just don’t know if it would get as much love as I think it would!
