[productsample/affiliate] Being honest, I come and go with these Ambient Lighting palettes. If you’re someone that loves to pay attention to your skin finish, I think you’ll love the nuance and glow that it creates, but if not, you could find yourself staring at the pillows of colour wondering exactly what to do with them.

One thing I think we can all agree on is the presentation – stunning. It’s as perfect as any palette that you’ll ever see – a chocolate box of tempting colours leaving you not sure which one to try first! The bottom row is my comfort zone – I could wear any of the shades as glowy cheek colour and be pleased with the results but the more subtle top row requires more creativity. They’re more for creating the contour and subtle finishing that’s a bit lost on me but makes for a blinding selfie for the ‘gram.

The shades, starting top left and going round the clock are Dim Light, Diffused Light, Iridescent Strobe Light, Sublime Finish (new), Iridescent Rose (new) and Eternal Bronze Light (new).

Ideally what I needed for this swatch was a ray of sunlight to bring it to life, but it’s still raining so no chance! The finish isn’t as full on as the metallic highlighters that we see – it’s more subtle than that and therefore (to my mind) more versatile. You need a tiny amount on a big diffusing brush so that you get a polished and subtle finish to your skin gleam. The palette is £75 which to me seems a LOT but breaking it down it comes to around £11 per pillow. If you regularly use and love skin finishers then this palette will be super useful – if you just look at it with confusion, move along! You can find it HERE, non affiliate HERE. Oh, I should say it comes with a really useful chart (see main picture) that shows you where best to use each product – I found it clear and helpful.
