[productsample] There’s no time where gold isn’t great, is there? I love this palette from Guerlain because it has a special feel to it – of course, it’s meant for the festive season but there are so many shades in this that defy any seasonal category.

I’m always happy to see a luminous khaki in a palette and this one doesn’t disappoint – in fact, all the colours swatched seamlessly – there’s a velvety softness and pure wash of colour. What you see in the pan is what you get on your skin.

As you can see, there is a mirror in the lid but the lid isn’t particularly stable so you’ll need to prop it against something if that’s the mirror you’re using to apply. I like this selection of shades although I think it’s more biased to warmer tones and much as I think we’ve probably reached peak palette, sometimes you see one and think ‘ooh’ which is how I reacted to this!

I mean, those swatches are seamless – you can see the way they just melt to the skin. I don’t have a price or release date yet but I’m guessing it will be just over the £50 mark.

This palette is so pigment rich. I really love it. It works really well with my cool undertones!
