Here’s a brand that does age-inclusive really, really well. GOSH is stocked at Superdrug, really well priced and can knock out a very decent lipstick for around about the £7 mark.
Their autumn range is looking strong, in particular the GOSH Velvet Touch Matt Lipsticks, above. I’m going to have to confess that I left one out in the sun and it wasn’t well enough to be photographed (currently resting in the fridge) so there’s one missing from the line up. Poor old Cherry.
So as you can see in the swatch, they’re ultra matt – not a flicker of sheen. From top to bottom we have Baby, Rose, Plum, Coral, Cassic Red, Raspberry and Antique. They’ve got a vaguely vanilla-ish scent to them but it’s not overpowering. Mine gave several hours of last before needing a top up, but I wouldn’t say they’re all day stayers – matt lipsticks tend to leach any moisture out of my lips which is why I avoid them; the GOSH Velvet Touch Matt Lipsticks weren’t particular culprits, especially as they have some hyaluronic in the mix, but I’d certainly advise that you ensure your lips are as hydrated as you can get them before wear.
Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules
I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
