Glossier Skywash

[unpaid/ad/sample/affiliate] The funny thing about Glossier is that it’s so heavily pitched at Gen Z and yet if anyone was to create a make-up range that’s utterly perfect for older women, this would be it. Almost everything I see, colour wise, from this brand feels like it just fits.

Bottom line is that Skywashes are as they sound – washes of colour that sweep the lids with the lightest of touches giving light blur and hue that enhances without dominating. If you prefer to keep your make up light but want a defined and polished look, these are for you.

The two shades I was sent are Pebble and Palm – Palm being the more ginger looking shade which doesn’t suit me at all but Pebble is a whole other matter. I prefer to use the wand and then smooth over with an eye brush just over the main lid – I don’t take it high. It’s also just a great base for any other accents you might want to add. The finish is lightly matte and generally, I’m not so keen on mattes for older lids but these are the exception to the rule because they seem to glide and smooth rather than pucker. You’ll see that I also have the Lash Slick and again, it’s another huge recommend because it’s a film former (i.e. tubing) and stays put without smudging. It has exactly the type of brush I love and grabs every lash. You need to add your coats one after the other at the time of application – going back to add another layer later doesn’t work so well. I know 100% that Lucy will pinch this from me and I don’t really want to let it go!

So, Pebble below and Palm above. I’ve used these on an Instagram video (not yet published) so if you want to see Pebble in real life, please follow HERE. Oh, and I also use the Glossier red gloss (I bumped into Caroline at an event recently and she immediately identified it on my lips – it’s one of those products that if you know, you know) which is another absolute staple in my make up bag and is something that from sample, I have gone on to purchase as a customer. Skywash is £15 HERE, Lash Slick is £14 HERE, and Gloss is £11 HERE. If you’ve fallen out of love with every day brights, these are for you and I can’t recommend highly enough for ALL ages.  Non affiliate HERE.

Your WHOLE blog is affiliates. Girl, no one cares. Maybe write about stuff that’s not sent to you. Would actually be worth reading.

They’re declared affiliates – I also offer non-affiliate links in case you’d prefer to click that. I do write about things that I personally buy. Perhaps you should have another look.

    2. Geez, what a comment. I guess the whole #bekind thing passed Emilia by. As did the many posts you do about products you’ve bought, plus the fact that you always give a non-affiliate link. People are strange. Trolls are stranger.

Poor Emilia – obviously having a really angry day!

It’s almost like reviewing products is part of Jane’s job…?? Maybe you’ve missed the part where people are allowed to do that and make money? If you have followed Jane for any length of time you would already know that she accepts gifted products with an honesty and integrity that does not affect her reviews and she always discloses ads and affiliate links. And Jane always provides non-affiliate links if you begrudge clicking them because of whatever issues you seem to have with them…

You’re so kind – thank you so much for this x
