Givenchy Teint Couture Embellishing Concealer

Last week I reviewed the forthcoming Givenchy Teint Couture Balm.. a bare-skin foundation with a little bit of blur.. and found it excellent. The Givenchy Teint Couture Embellishing Concealer, part of the same range, is a little different because pretty as it is with a dual colour stick, there isn’t anything that I can find that marks it out as an excellent concealer. The pretty pink strip blends away once on the skin and doesn’t seem to give any advantage that’s discernible on the skin.

Personally, I found it to be a bit dry in the blend around the eyes but did a great job of concealing redness around the nose area – for under eyes, I think you need a liquid concealer because sticks just drag the skin and tend to sit in creases. I get it that the pink strip is supposed to add some brightness under the eye, but in all truth, it doesn’t.

What is very nice about this shape of concealing stick is that it very neatly hugs contours and you can be very precise about where you want the product to go. All in all, Givenchy Teint Couture Embellishing Concealer is very pretty but not as good as it should be for its intended use. It’s scheduled for a September launch.
