Fenty Beauty Body Lava

I’m just going to put it out there – Best. Body. Bling. Ever. And, I’m not one for hype! Fenty Beauty Body Lava is more than living up to expectations in format, performance and durability – and believe me, I’ve been sparkling the whole of Easter.

The formula is a kind of oil-gel that glides easily over the skin leaving a star-storm of twinkles behind it. I’d definitely recommend the brush as well unless you have one like it or can easily replicate (it’s £26) because if you don’t want palms drenched in sparkles it’s kind of essential. The oil-gel has amazing adherence – I’m not dropping shimmer everywhere – it’s the formula that binds those light filled sparkles to your body and not falling on the floor or in your bed but you can feel a very light tack because of it.

The product goes onto your skin all sheeny and will stay that way unless you really buff it down – in reality I think you’d have to buff it down for practicality’s sake, but for Instagram, leave it alone and let it shine! It’s got a vanilla based, holiday-ish kind of scent that’s okay – I know most people will love it but I’m not really a gourmande fragrance fan and all in all, this deserves to be the sell out it will certainly be.

It’s really the most lustred body product I think I’ve come across – I don’t remember another that’s quite so impactful. You will, however, have sparkles for days – this doesn’t leave you in one shower only! The shade I have here is Who Needs Clothes? in a rose gold, but there’s a more bronzy version called Brown Sugar as well. In my view, either will work on darker tones, but if you’re pale, rose gold is probably the better option. It’s launching on April 6th – I’ll flag it up on my Instagram with a link (HERE) on the day if I’m quick enough, but it will disappear in a flash. It’s £46.
