This is another beautiful collection – the Dolce & Gabbana Autumn Beauty line-up is absolutely lovely; thoughtful, tempered to the season and a mix of wearable and adventurous. This brand has changed so much from its inception where I felt it was very safe – it then veered off into some truly unwearable stuff (wonder what happened to all the green lipsticks) and now it’s kind of settled into itself.

Of all the new products for A/W, the Mono Eyeshades in a creme format are my favourites – Antique Rose is the kind of stylish, dusky pink that instantly wakes up the eye. They’re gorgeously soft and show matte on the lids (I’d still use a primer, I think for these) and perfect for just a finger smudge application when you really can’t be bothered to blend. Other shades are Zambia Beige (avoid if you are very yellow toned), and Leo Brown.

The palette (Fall Harvest), is a twist on traditional berry shades – I’d easily wear all these colours (maybe not the purple) and I love that steely shade that veers between grey and blue.

I find the powder formula quite creamy in application.

I think the new Dolce & Gabbana Autumn Beauty for lips is what’s going to get everyone really excited. Think OCC level of pigment! I have the Purple Passion shade Intense Colour Gloss and it’s certainly living up to its name!

In fact, if you love vampish, blood draining purples (yes, in a good way!) then this is really your collection; lip shades like these don’t come along all the time at this quality. Lipsticks above are Antique Rose, Red Royal and Purple Passion. There are also matching Intense Colour Gloss for each.

See what I mean about the intensity of that gloss! I will cover nails in a separate post (haven’t quite had time to swatch them up yet), but I love the choices in this collection – if you love nudes, there’s something, and if you love wild and vampy shades, there’s also something. A gorgeous edit… and it’s all launching (at Harrods) this coming Sunday.
