How exciting can yet another reformulation be? Well, very exciting actually (in the context of lipstick!) and if you already love a Dior lip, I think you will notice a difference. They’re super creamy – an instant-comfort wear if you like. I don’t even love lipsticks that much and yet when I applied it, I was definitely in the ‘ooh’ zone! I haven’t yet tried the new mattes yet (I was given such a blinding red that I haven’t yet plucked up the courage even in my own office!) but all the formulations include hyaluronic acid and a lipid restoring complex, which is all to the good in the battle of lipstick vs hydrated lips.
The shades I have above (from bottom to top) are: Premiere, a nude pink satin, 999 Matte, an ultra bold red in matte, Miss, a bold pink satin and Red Smile, a cora/red toned satin. I think the shades that will make the most impact are the new Extremes – Montaigne Matte (grey), Poison Matte (blackened red), Superstitious Matte (deep burgundy/purple) and Visionary, in darkest blue.
In all, there are 38 shades in the re-formulation and these are Peter Philips (ex Chanel) first real mark on Dior make up in his role as Creative and Image Director. You’ll be able the find the Dior Rouge New Formula from 1st September.
