Dior Mineral Nude Powder

Well, you always know summer is just around the corner when Dior releases their powder bronzers. I know that people buy these by the bucket load – every summer, a new one, and it’s easy to see why because they’re so beautiful. The packaging has had a revamp: the same silver lid but a clear bottom which makes it much lighter in the hand (45% lighter apparently!) than previous versions.

The shade I have here is called Warm Sunrise and it’s right for my olive toned complexion but just not quite yet. My whole tone needs to warm a bit first before I can use it. There are six shades, with Soft Sunrise being the lightest, and Warm Sundown being the darkest. They’ve launched at Selfridges (£34, HERE) so you can see the other five shades properly.

The raised letters on the powder have a very slight sheen to them but overall this isn’t a sparkling product particularly. The mineral powder feels like silk and you only need a small amount. I always think its a bit difficult to pick out the tones on this type of product but not impossible so you can start light and go darker if your tone changes. Otherwise, you can do a bit of contouring. Most people, I think, keep it simple and do an all over sweep of a brush to add a light warmth to skin tone. This particular product is part of the Dior Cool Wave Summer 2018 collection and I’ll bring the rest of it to you in a day or so.
