Dior Lip Tattoo

Dior Lip Tattoo

How did I miss these? I usually keep a good eye out on Instagram where all the beauty stories break now but somehow this launch passed me by.  They’re lip inks, designed for long-stay with a matte effect finish. At the moment it seems that there are four shades available. I think the main draw with these are the 10 hour stay claim. I wore one to meetings in London today and it wasn’t there when I got back – and no, I didn’t have a 10 hour meeting. However, I did apply just one coat of Rosewood so perhaps I needed to layer up a bit more for the intensity. It was definitely still there after a couple of hours. I’m a gloss fan so used to repeated applications so reapplying isn’t a downside as far as I’m concerned, but still, I think you’d be lucky to get 5 hours, never mind 10.

The colour line up is perfect for a set of four. The first, Natural Beige, is as described, as you’ll see in the swatches, but the colour will vary depending upon your natural lip tone. Next is Natural Cherry, followed by Rosewood, followed by Natural Coral. The pigment is good, and the texture feels wet at first before then feeling weightless. The fact that they seemingly have a high water content which has to evaporate could leave your lips dry if you are prone. The claim of it not transferring proved absolutely true as I put it to the cappuchino test! Nothing on the cup.

So, in the swatch, it’s Natural Cherry, Rosewood, Natural Coral and Natural Beige.

And the stain when I removed just a few moments after the swatch picture was taken. So, there is no doubt that it lays down a stain which probably will remain on my arm for days. Lips are more tricky – it depends if you’re a licker or not – even if you don’t realise, but you might make Dior Lip Tattoo last longer than I did if you are not. I’ve found them at Escentual for a bit less than everywhere else (£22.50 HERE) but they’re out of stock of Natural Beige which I have found HERE at John Lewis for £25.

  1. They seem interesting!

  2. Ooo I rather like the look of these! BUT it’s not anything that you can’t get from Korean beauty brands or on the high street. :’)
