Dior rarely misses a beat with their summer collections – this year’s is called Care & Dare to indicate a combination of both skin care and makeup. First up is the Diorskin Nude Air, this year infused with antioxidant ingredients (doesn’t say what) to protect against pollution – anti-pollution is a big trend so it’s good to see makeup that incorporates it. There are two shades – Amber Tan and Bronze Tan. The one I’m showing is the deeper of the two in Bronze.
The new Dior Air Lumize will make a lot of glow lovers happy – it’s a beautifully textured, serum like formula with iridescent pigments to heighten luminosity. Little bit hard to tell in this light whether it’s a bit too sparkly but to me it’s more of a strobe wash. The skin care part is plant oils. There are two shades – I’m showing 003 which to me is very bronze so the darker one will be bronzer still. However, if your tone is already warm, or you let it warm up in summer, then it’s probably not going to look too deep. I also like the fact that it’s very controlable – you can go all-in or just use the tiniest amount.
The one thing I don’t like is the double ended Colour & Contour for eyes – as you will see in the swatch, the yellow shade of Sun Bath looks kind of chalky and it’s hard to get a solid line. There are two others – one with a blue accent and one with a bronze accent.
In the swatch, Colour and Contour in Sun Bath, Dior Nude Air Luminizer and Diorskin Nude Air.

I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
This is one of two palettes for summer from Dior – Attract. I have completely fallen for this and worn it already. The shades are glinty and low-metallic with a matte centrepiece.
See? Although it’s pitched at a summer palette, I think it’s an anytime, anywhere palette and it’s stuffed straight into the Keep Drawer!
Ooh but these! The Dior Addict Collectors come with lipcare oils and vitamin E to prevent drying. They’re a mid-pigment, sheeny formula and I have fallen hard for Gentle Red. I find it very hard to wear reds but this has a slight coral tone to it that really does remind me of holidays, warm skin and sunny days. The other shade is Tender Bronze but there are four others to choose from.
Dior always captures the ‘Riviera’ look so well in their summer collections – I’m not that woman in a gorgeously stylish wide-brimmed sun-hat with bug-eye sunglasses and a Dior shopper, but a few of these items make me feel it’s a possiblity – sort of! Anyway, I’ve got til April when the collection launches to perfect that look – ahem.
