[productsample/affiliate] There’s one new product in the Dior Backstage collection that has blown me away – and it’s the least exciting looking of everything! The Face & Body Primer is just SO good!
Usually, I’m totally the magpie for all the bright and shiny things but when I tried this, that was it! Instant love. It’s billed as giving blurring, radiance and plumping, all of which I’d say that it does, but as well as that it just feels as though you have the most lovely moisturiser on your skin that silkens it both visually and texturally. I mixed it this morning with my usual day time tinted moisturiser and while it was more or less a bare skin look, the primer elevated it to a much fresher look than usual. There is a degree of light catchiness to it (which you can see in the swatch) that isn’t iridescence as such but is a kind of liquid radiance so its ideal for weekend no-make up or under a foundation or tint.
I think you can see by the glossiness of the product squeezed out of the tube how it’s going to translate:
And on skin.. And, very rarely for me, a selfie (it’s still from an IGTV where I was showing a red mascara, but I’m wearing the primer and a dot of L’Oreal True Match foundation).
It’s £27.50 HERE.
This palette is Amber Neutrals (03) and includes an eye primer, a highlighter, a sculpting powder and six eye shades in shimmer (middle row) and matte (bottom row). It’s a kind of on-the-go, multi-functional, speed of the backstage artist sort of a palette.
You can see the the colours can take you from a neutral look to a really dramatic look or anything in between.
The Glow Face Palette (in 002, Glitz) is super-pretty – I really didn’t want to put my brush over the logo! As you can see, you can highlight, low light, contour or bronze with it. There’s a bit of a ‘strobe’ i.e. iridescent effect on the first two shades while the bottom two are more peachy/bronze cheek shades. It’s £39.
It needs the light on it to bring it to life but I can see it being a great holiday palette so you can colour adjust as you go along. There’s an offer on at Boots HERE where if you purchase this, £34 or the palette , you get a Dior Pouch. It doesn’t say quite what that is, but … a pouch sounds nice ;-). Non aff HERE. Even though I love all the colours, I have so many colours already which is perhaps why I’m so drawn to the primer – I rarely even use a primer but this will be used to the very last drop!
