Cosmetics A La Carte Luminous Cream Shadow

[unpaid/sample] There are three new shades for Cosmetics A La Carte Luminous Cream Shadow – lightly referencing the Jubilee in shades named Majesty, Grace and Faith. If you haven’t tried these sheer colour veils, they’re the perfect understated wash of colour that bring life to the lids gently, but perfectly.

You can apply these with just a clean finger – and yes, despite the long-last claim, you may well have to top up midway through your day if you have oily lids. But, when they’re so easy to apply, this doesn’t seem any more onerous than topping up a lipstick or gloss. The Luminous Cream shadows are impressively silky and feel weightless on the eyes.

Majesty is the deepest shade in a rich purple shade shot with golden glimmer. It looks power packed in the pot but in fact, as a wash, turns out more heathery-shine and honestly, it’s beautiful. Faith (middle) is a silver gilt and a natural eye brightener – it would be my go-to for a lid lustre with kohl and mascara. Grace is lighter and brighter in a pink toned lilac – if you are cool toned or suit pink this would be the obvious choice for you.

What I like about the Cosmetics A La Carte Luminous Cream Shadow is that it’s so versatile – we all have make-up moods where we feel like being bolder or quieter and you have that in one pot. You can build it up or just do one single swipe across the lid. It’s almost fool proof because your finger tip seems to naturally fit the eyelid so well as an applicator and gosh, it’s easy. They’re not cheap at £32 each – I feel that is a lot – but if it becomes your summer go-to then perhaps not. You can find all the shadows HERE.
