Clinique Sun-Kissed Face Gelee

Another head’s up for a new Clinique product that’s hitting the UK soon. Clinique Sun-Kissed Face Gelee has already launched in the US so it shouldn’t be too long before we have it but I don’t yet have an exact date. So, as you can see, it’s a bronzing gel that gives a light tint to the skin that you can mix with your foundation or base (I think I’d be happier mixing with a BB than an actual foundation) to warm up your skin tone. I like the idea that you can bring up your tone a little, but it’s not quite clear what happens to your neck!

This swatch is a light covering of the tint used neat – if I wasn’t mixing it with a base, I’d put it in some moisturiser and apply that way rather than actually neat. It’s not permanent and won’t stain your skin so you can practice what’s the best intensity for you without fear that you’ll look like a brick by the end of it. Clinique Sun-Kissed Face Gelee removes with make up remover.

The formula is oil free. I haven’t put it to the ‘sweat’ test but I’m imagining that if it’s mixed with your base or a moisturiser, then it will last as long as that does. I’m thinking that Clinique Sun-Kissed Face Gelee is a great ‘first few days of holiday’ product, or a good way to match your facial tone to the rest of your body if you don’t put your face in the sun.

  1. Sounds interesting, it looks orange in colour though.

I really like the idea of this, looks like it could be quite useful!

  3. I love bronze gels like this; Bonne Bell used to have one a million years ago and I never could get it to work (in its defense, I think I just kept trying the same way repeatedly) but I loved it just the same.

After several days of beautiful weather, my skin tone has changed considerably. Sadly my beloved Erborian CC is now a bit pale. Can this be added to it? I don’t quite understand the sorcery of CC creams.
    Thx Jane. X

You can certainly mix it with other bases to get your exact tone or Body Shop have some tone adjusting drops that you add into any existing products to warm or cool the shade
