[productsample/affiliate] Hmm, so if I’ve read the press release right, the Charlotte Tilbury Starry Eyes To Hypnotise Palette is only available for 24 hours from right now.. (‘the new palette will launch on today at 9am BST for 24 hours’)… let’s hope their website is up to the job because that’s a risky strategy that relies on technology to work!
Although all the CT Eyes to Hypnotise palettes sell out (they really do), there isn’t a need to join the furore (unless you want to) as it will be back to join the rest of the holiday collection on 3rd October. This is a such a marketing driven brand – why have only one splash when you can rinse two out of the same palette?
The good news (or bad news if you’ve sworn off palettes because you have too many) is that it’s an absolute cracker. It’s split into four trios, Happy Glow, Love Glow, Dream Glow and Seduce Glow and as an ‘everything’ palette it really works, taking you from easy day looks to all out glam and everything in between. I’m more taken with the last two as the first two fall into the sunset category and I feel like I’ve seen enough of that to last a life time. But, I will say that in Seduce Glow, the black shade (very last in the palette) is one of the best and most beautiful shimmer hit blacks that I’ve ever used.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say I think the colours are better quality than in previous palettes (although I could find out they’re exactly the same and it’s my memory playing tricks) although metallics always behave better than mattes in swatches and there are more of them than in previous palettes. I love the khaki in Dream Glow as well – it’s hard to find a decent olivey-green shade and it’s hitting all the right notes.
From bottom to top: Happy Glow, Love Glow.
Dream Glow and Seduce Glow.
Here’s the black shade with a swatch of its own – you can see the shimmer – I can’t wait to wear this! Anyway, if you want to grab it (£60) in this 24 hour window, head HERE, if you can wait, mark down October 3rd.
