[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] How very glamorous! Charlotte Tilbury’s Lunar New Lipsticks should put a shot of joy into your make-up bag because they’re so bright, tactile and utterly sumptuous.

Charlotte Tilbury Lunar New Year Lipsticks

I have two of the three offerings here – there’s also a red called Lucky Cherry.

The two I have here are Rose Wish and Sweet Blossom. Rose Wish is in the Matte Revolution formula and is a dense, brickish red shade, while Sweet Blossom is in the KISSING formula so has some sheen to it in. The brand calls it a rusty rose and it certainly has that terracotta element to it – any pink tones are firmly in the background.

In the swatch, Rose Wish is bottom, and Sweet Blossom is top. I love the reddish elements to them – pillar box reds aren’t for everyone and I think the brand has done a great job of incorporating less obvious red tones while staying within the spectrum. If you’ve never tried a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick before, they have quite a strong vanilla scent and are intensely pigmented so a little goes a very long way. There’s also a red capped Magic Cream but my money is on these diamante studded metallic tubes for as much wow factor as you can fit into a lipstick. It’s the year of the Ox by the way, and oxen are honest, diligent, dependable and determined. They’re £28 HERE, non-affiliate HERE.
