[productsample] The Charlotte Darling! palette is the newest roll-out from Charlotte Tilbury and reportedly the colours that Charlotte uses on herself. I can well believe it actually – these are precisely the sort of colours she wears when I’ve seen her at events… with super-black lashes of course!
The trend for big palettes is slowly, slowly edging out in favour of more compact edits so in that respect, it’s spot on for the make-up mood. On the other hand, these shades have been done and done many times. That’s not to say they’re not lovely – they are. But – you, know, not dissimilar to several other palettes.
I’d have loved to see it in greys or greens – but hopefully, now the tooling for the palette has been done, this is a sign of things to come. Actually, I’m wracking my brains to try and remember if this size and format has been done by CT before? I know someone will know! The plus of Charlotte Darling! is that it’s very wearable – most of us know what to do with a sunset selection by now and if there’s any colour range to make your eyes pop, it’s this. I love these colours on blue eyes in particular. When Urban Decay’s Naked Heat came out, I literally took it around in my bag making my friends try it on (ask Hayley!) because until you’ve tried these shades, you can’t imagine how good they look.
The Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar
The SpaceNK Advent calendar is almost here, pre-order for shipment on the 15th October with beauty gifts, worth over £700, from La Mer, Augustinus Bader, Rose Inc and more.
As you can see, the swatches are seamless – the colours just streak off the applicator in a full bodied stripe that means you won’t be using it all up in a hurry. I don’t actually know the price of this but I think it launches on Thursday. If you haven’t ventured into sunset territory, this is a tight and tidy edit to start you off. If you have, I think you may have most of the shades covered off already.
