[samples] I couldn’t not post this stunning collection straight away – it’s just such a cheer up for a gloomy January week – but I don’t have full details yet so will post the swatches along with the details as soon as I do. It’s launched already in the US but not in the UK.
I mean, don’t you want to book a holiday this minute? I’m really drawn to orange and turquoise together – it’s a visual confection that makes me happy – like a mood boost for the eyes. Chantecaille usually gives some charity support with their limited edition collections and this one is no different, giving a portion of each sale to the Amazon Conservation Team to support rain forest habitats.
Within the collection, there are two eye palettes – a warm and a cool – a Perfect Blur powder and four glossy lipsticks.
I have Honeysuckle and Passionflower here. Passionflower is a beautiful, vibrant and tropical orange while Honeysuckle is a dusky rose shade. I like Chantecaille Lip Chics as they’re full of hyaluronic acid and therefore super comfortable on the lips.
This is the cool quartet – don’t pay too much attention to the cool and warm aspect; I saw someone being made up using this palette at the launch yesterday and it gives a deep smoky eye if you head to the purple shade that I think is suit-all. If you don’t want to go all smoky, the other shades are useful for taupe and heathery eyes – I’d wear them and I’m by no means a cool tone.
The Perfect Blur Powder is a Chantecaille classic with fine milled powders and optical blurring pearls to give a soft focus finish. It’s more or less weightless so even if you’re not a powder fan, the chances are you’d like this.
All of this will fall into the luxury pricing range for sure but I’ve got a lot of admiration for brands that make the things that make you beautiful, beautiful in themselves.
