[purchase] I thought it was worth flagging these testers that I was sent when I bought something from the CHANEL website – I was honestly so pleased with them!
As you can see, there is a little Red Camellia Rich Revitalizing Cream which I won’t use but my niece Sophie will absolutely love, but the thing I’m more excited about is the little lipstick cubes set in a card.
This is so perfect – I can try four colours one after the other. The cubes are generous – you will get many more than one application from them (great for holiday packing!). It even comes with a tiny brush. Both the times came in a little logo nylon drawstring bag – handy for anything really.

And the swatches: from bottom to top is Ardente, Rouge Vie, Libre and Mysterieuse. Any appeal to you?

Ardente looks lovely, a nice burnt orange? I was surprised with a similar, lovely tester set of Chanel’s Rouge Coco Bloom lipsticks on counter. Little flip cards with the wee pods of lipstick. Aren’t they a really great way to actually the colours on? In the end I didn’t buy any of the Coco Bloom’s but I tell you I had endless fun playing with them.

I absolutely love the Chanel website. It really is a treat to visit and buy there. I could go to Boots and get the points, but the little bags the products come in, plus the samples is lovely. They sent me a beautiful little white bag with face pads last time as an extra treat, and you cannot buy them anymore. I was thrilled!
Now there is nothing I want more in the world than that bag of face pads!
I ended up purchasing Ardente after receiving a similar sample card -It’s a colour I’d just never have normally looked at, it looked too orange for me…so the tester card did it’s job!! I previously received a sample of face cream from their Le Lift range, but er…having seen the price of that despite it being fabulous I won’t be making a purchase any time soon!!
I’d love to see some stats on conversion from those cards. I bet it’s high. And yes, I hear you on the cream!
