A great start to any week is a new base from Chanel. Better still, this has already launched. Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue gives a velvet finish – it’s definitely powdery, even the fluid version, so therefore (gutted) ruling it out for myself since I’m not a fan of killing any natural radiance and replacing it with pretend radiance.
However, if you prefer a velvet or matte finish, then the compact foundation version is probably right up your street. I just cannot bear the feel of powder on my face so while this does give very decent coverage (I had one half of my face compact and one fluid yesterday) and does the ‘perfecting’ thing very nicely indeed thanks to soft focus powders, it’s only really for the matte finish lovers.
I find that Chanel bases tend to run warm – in the swatch above, I have Beige 20 and Beige 10 in the fluid and Beige 10 followed by Beige 20 in the powder. You can find Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue for £37 HERE.
