ByBi Lip Buffer & Plumper

ByBi Lip Buffer & Plumper

This is cute! I don’t really know this brand very well, but I was very impressed with the lip scrub (buffer) that left my lips looking and feeling 100% smoother. Even though I slather on Lanolips (and latterly, Sisley Lip Balm – I’d forgotten how utterly amazing it really is but it’s SO expensive at £49.50 HERE) daily, my lips have been battling with the cold weather. I’m never quite sure if it’s a good idea to exfoliate flaky lips or whether you should leave them well alone in case you tear the lip skin. So, I felt it was a bit of a risk but I shouldn’t have worried. The mix of sugar and strawberry extracts (it tastes a bit odd.. I thought it was honey-ish) was effective at sloughing off dry bits but didn’t upset my lips at all.

ByBi Lip Buffer & Plumper

Compared to the extreme days of lip plumping with Lip Venom, the ByBi plumper in no way matches up. It’s a pleasantly tingling sensation from peppermint with a splash of blood orange (I couldn’t tell there even was any orange!) but I couldn’t really see any plumping. That said, historically, my lips aren’t hugely responsive to these cinnamon or menthol infused plumpers – if they’ve worked for you in the past I’ve no reason to think this wouldn’t do *something* but probably not a wow result. I did find it quite soothing and softening after the peppermint blast had gone. So, scrub is great, plumper is average.

The set is £16 HERE and includes the pouch.

  1. Hmm, it seems like something I want to try. I tried most of these products that Found in the past and most worked really well for me, but the ones that worked the best also sting just a tad too much for my taste. I am curious to see how these will work out for me. Thanks for sharing.
