I absolutely remember receiving this and thinking that is a heck of a big tassle in any setting! I suppose that you were supposed to wear it attached to your oversized Burberry shopper. Believe it or not, it’s really lightweight – nothing like the lead-weight of the Dior or Lancome cubes.
It’s a kind of silvered bronze metallic colour and came out for Christmas 2012 along with two trio sets of lipsticks and glosses .
I’ve seen these on resale sites for about $85 but they are few and far between. It’s in the near past so perhaps you will remember it – I can certainly remember going through very rigorous security to get backstage at the Burberry shows and being slightly upset when the security guard was horrible to the PR trying to shepherd us through. Other than that, I remember it was a very, very hot day – I don’t remember one stitch of the clothing. The only other time I’ve seen aggressive security on that level at a show was at Matthew Williamson and he refused to let Tracey Emin inside – who was understandably upset and panicked because crowds were gathering so I looked after her a bit and once we got inside she never gave me a backward glance :-))).
