There are a couple of items missing from the box (which I can only assume that I used up) which came as a set of five eye shadows and three blushes.

The set is a collaboration between Bourjois and artist Nathalie Rété with whimsical pictures of Paris.

I think you can see I thoroughly gave up trying to make these stand straight!

One of the things that is very noticeable is how frosted and sparkly every single colour is – even the blush. I’d forgotten about that high-beam Bourjois twinkle.

Shades going left to right are: Ambre D’Or (blush), Beige Rose (eye) and Blanc Diaphane (eye).

Next up: Violet Absolu (eye), Lilas D’Or (blush) and Argent. Bourjois press days were always so fun – usually held at their offices in central London – and to this day I’m still friends with the then PR, Lesley and we meet up quite regularly for a quick glass of something. If this has got you hankering for Bourjois, which actually stopped being sold in UK stores at the end of last year, Very has 9 pages of current Bourjois products, including Healthy Mix, one of my favourite foundations ever (very similar to True Match) HERE, non affiliate HERE. I still feel sad that such a long-standing, affordable brand didn’t flourish under its new owners (Coty) – I mean, it was in existence since 1863 and to let that go – more than just a shame. *thows hands in air*

I never saw this set! Gasps in awe! This is sooo cute. I love the Bourjois prints and patterns. In fact anything Bourjois. They made my favourite face powder ever – the moulded mineral radiance powder with a bit of glow in shade Vanille which has been long discontinued. Chanel Les Beiges is next best if just a lot more money. Coincidence I wonder?
Very good point about Coty. I think they totally missed the point of and messed up the “fun, fashion and colour from Paris” Bourjois mantra. And I really don’t know how when it had a stable of fantastic products at great price points.
Ages ago when Boots launched their Advantage card it used to be 300 points for each or two Bourjois item bought. So I bought just about everything in a round pot. Then I stupidly sold 75% of them off… Oh well.. lessons learned. Sometime it will time for a Bourjois cruise not booze cruise to France. Bonne journée!
You’re right – they never really understood what they had. x
Well this has made me miss Bourjois in the UK again! Although I felt it lost its way under Coty for sure and the lack of development in shade range was more than disappointing.
As for getting products straight, I have used washi tape and blu-tak on rolling things before! I’m sure there are many more tricks that magazines must use to get those multi product shots which is probably a post in itself!
Well, you’ve caught me out having lost my blu-tak which is what I usually use… the particular problem with those is the opening button is exactly where you’d want to prop it for the picture to be straight – so you’d see the tak anyway… also I ran out of determination :-)))))
I had a frantic blu-tak search the other day…because I needed it to hold my phone to film something of course?!
I wish I was patient enough to do those really elaborate make up flat lays and set ups but one thing starts rolling and I go off in a huff…I’d definitely have given up after trying to balance one little round pot! I often use ‘artfully rippled’ fabric to hide things like blu-tak and pins holding things where I want them
I’ve just had a look at my Bourjois blusher collection (still my go to tbh) and I can totally see my favourites by which ones have the gold worn off that little button
I developed this gift set! Wow. Flash back.
It’s so cute – I’m furious that I don’t have all of the pots for it.
