[affiliate/sample] I see a lot of palettes as you know and whatever we might think of the future of eye palettes, Bobbi Brown always brings it on quality. I don’t mind at all if a palette has a cardboard casing but that needs to be reflected in the price and often it is not. This Jeweled Rose Palette from Bobbi Brown is a reminder, at £32, that you can have your make up luxuriously (and safely) presented in casing that makes you feel you have something precious in your hand.
The shades in side are easy to wear with the possible exception of the deep terracotta colour, Red Rock, it’s maybe just me but I struggle to know quite how to wear it. The other colours veer to warm tones (but if you have blue eyes they will thank you for this selection) with Stone Cold above Red Rock being matte. The rest of the shades, Rose Gold, Dusk and Champagne Quartz have a metallic element.
It’s not a revolutionary colour selection but it’s a safe wear for all eye shades but if you are sallow toned, I’d avoid it.
You can find it HERE, non affiliate HERE. There are still some sale items on the BB site – notably, a mini glossy lip duo for £10.72 and the Hydrating Gel Cream for £29.82 instead of £40 something.

Happy new year, Jane! You’re a go-to source for me, really appreciate your content.
I’m a long term fan of the BB brand but I don’t quite get what they’re up to at the moment, or how the line will be structured in the future. It seems random to me. Perhaps still experimenting a bit, trying to find a groove post-Bobbi Brown herself?
I was disappointed they seem to have discontinued the retoucher sticks and concealer pencils and similar. Those moves feel to me like they have deliberately moved away from that sense of Bobbi’s previous influence.
Or possibly have been thinking way too much about this! I don’t know. It’s intrigued me for a while now.
Dx
Thank you so much… that’s really kind of you. I completely see where you are at – on the one hand, I think there are now no restrictions to experimenting and we are seeing some very exciting, ‘non-Bobbi’ products, but on the other, the direction seems lost. I fairly consistently like the products – the collaboration creme blush/highlighters done with Ulla Johnson last year are down to the pan because they’re in almost daily use and I’m a stick foundation convert thanks to this brand, but other things haven’t resonated nearly as well. Remember the old style ‘Bobbi’ palettes – always the same with just a slight variation on a nude theme? I now think there was some comfort in those sharp edits of neutrals ..maybe we need a tray of non-colour to revive us!
