Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tints Valentine Edition

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I understand the irony of products designed to make you feel more kissy at this time when, unless you have an at-home kissee, it’s nigh on impossible, so I’m going to spin this towards down-time daily wear because as much as these are tints, they’re also nicely softening and conditioning balms. And, I love a bit of embellishment so it’s a thumbs up for the hearts.

These are also a great starting place for anyone who is lipstick shy – particularly red – because they give you colour in such a diluted way that you forget that you are crimson-lipped. As a red-shy myself (other than Gucci Rene Pink), I know it’s helpful to approach this colour (or any colour you’re nervous of) in stages of intensity.

The shades are existing – it’s just the cheery casings that are new, and of course, they’re limited edition. I can wear all of these shades because they’re so translucent but do remember that they show more strongly with lip pigment behind them than a pale arm swatch. In the line-up here from left to right: Bare Punch, Bare Blackberry and Bare Raspberry. Looking on the site, perhaps Bare Raspberry is new – it’s not listed in the regular line-up. Also Bare Raspberry implies pink but to my eye, it’s red.

In the swatch from bottom to top is Punch, Blackberry and Raspberry. These are only available (£27) at John Lewis for now (who have muddled the colour selection so take extra care if ordering) HERE, non-affiliate HERE.

I absolutely love Bobbi Brown lip tints, of all balm type things these always make my lips feel moisturised and are very easy to apply, they give just the right amount of colour to make you feel more polished. I don’t have any of these colours as bare pink is my go to but I will definitely try
