Bobbi Brown Christmas Sets

[sample/affiliate] This year, the Bobbi sets are really nicely thought through with my favourite being the Soft Smoulder Longwear Eye Kit, £45, featuring three eye sticks and a mini mascara. I’m a huge fan of eye sticks – they’re literally the easiest way to create a made up look by just colouring in your lid. They don’t rely on any fancy tricks or blends and there’s no drop.

There are two matte shades, in Bark (a deep brown) and Nude Beach (as it sounds, a kind of matte sand shade) plus a shimmery stick in Rose Quartz and a mini Smokey Eye Mascara.

As a little tip, you can add a shimmer wash to the matte shades if you like from any palette by just skimming your brush over the shimmer and then straight to the lid as quickly as possible to allow the shimmer to adhere to the matte. There’s a cool feel as you apply these which I rather like. Use a primer if you have oily lids.

Here they are swatched up and head HERE if you like the look of it. It’s worth noting that the set has an £85 value.

I also really love the Hydrate and Glow Set which is a good call for anyone who loves to look after their skin but isn’t all that into make-up. Containing the Illuminating Moisture Balm in Golden Glow (it’s really hydrating and leaves a nuance of glow but it’s also perfect for mixing in with your foundation to create your own tinted moisturiser), Hydrating Eye Cream (in a ‘gloss style’ wand and tube – I know I will one day end up coating my lips with eye cream) and a lightly sparkly hydrating lip tint. It’s got an £84 value HERE.

I don’t generally use an eye cream but I gave this one a whirl and rather liked it. It just gave my under eyes a little bit of smoothness.

You can see that the Moisture Balm has a properly ‘balmy’ consistency which makes it lovely for wintery skin that needs some soothing as well as glow boosting. I always think BB skin care is under-rated – it’s high performing and doesn’t get enough attention. With Black Friday looming, all brands are upping their offers – currently on the BB site you get four minis with a £50 spend, plus a free make up bag with a £70 spend.

Oh wow, I LOVE the idea of an eye cream presented like a lipgoss, with an applicator. One essential, non-negotiable part of my makeup is a good dab of eyecream over my foundation, just at the corners of my eyes on my crow’s feet. It sort of plumps out the lines incredibly, for hours on end. An applicator tube thingy would be so fab, and portable for a long day. And the glow set as a whole would be a very good gift for my ‘no-makeup but glow-loving’ SIL, so you’ve really made my day here! Thank you

The way the eye cream in a gloss tube with wand – can anyone ever get all of the products inside with the wand?
