Benefit Gold Rush Blush

The cowgirl theme is one that Benefit frequently revisits .. this time it’s laced black stiletto boots and a flick of gold on the spurs. Unusually, it’s scented – not unpleasant at all and in the way that most powder that’s pefumed, it has an air of sun cream although the notes are apparently citrus, vanilla and sandalwood. It’s not overwhelming, more of a nuance than a blast.

As you can see, it’s got a gold over-spray for the initial opening bling, but actually once you’re past that it’s a peachy shade hit with light gold shimmer. I can’t help noticing that it’s very low down in the box and when I check the weight, it’s 5g – Hula, for example, is 8g. Benefit does vary the amount of product that goes into their signature square boxes without varying the size of the box.

I think this is pretty wearable – the packing has all the punch but that means a really decent every day shade for the blush, particularly when we get some sunshine. It’s £24.50 which seems on the top heavy side to me but if it takes you through the summer, it’s probably money well spent. You can find it HERE (free postage).
