[productsample] A lot of blush/highlight palettes are rather cumbersome – not so this dinky little version from Benefit, containing a Hula Bronzer, Galifornia Blush and Watt’s Up Creme Highlight.

Benefit Get The Pretty Started Palette

In fact, it’s a perfect size for travel and definitely a summer’s worth of product. I sometimes look at palettes these days and see far too much commitment ahead – the really chunky palettes I don’t think I could use up in a life-time so actually, I like to see smaller, more compact versions that don’t feel quite so onerous.

If you’re warm toned, the shades are perfect, but absolutely workable if your tone is cool or deep. Watt’s Up is one of my favourite creamy highlighters that emerged before highlighting went day-glo – you get just the right amount of glow without being metallic so it’s a good every-age, every tone product. Hula, as a bronzer, is still one of the best and that was rather a front-runner too. It’s not laced with glitter so gives a subtle effect that can be built up. Galifornia – yes, my favourite Benefit Blush. That coral tone is gorgeous and really wakes up the complexion. I had vaguely thought to give this to my niece but now I’ve just reminded myself how much I like these products, it’s going in the Keep Drawer – sorry Sophie!

Just as a reminder of the shades in the swatch above it’s Hula, Galifornia, Watt’s Up. The palette is a very reasonable £12.52 at QVC (with £1.95 postage) HERE.
